Scott Wilkins is back at with another video of a rock he found out in West Texas near the town of Terlingua. He’s not exactly sure what kind of rock it is, and to be honest, neither am I just by looking at it.
So the question is: How well with this rock tumble? And what type of rock is it?
Watch The Video!
After spending many weeks in the tumbler with coarse grit, the rock begins to take a more rounded shape, and you can begin to see that it’s probably going to polish up pretty well. You can even see pockets of chalcedony, or like Scott calls them, “little rivers of chalcedony”. 😀
Finally, after about 10 more days in the vibratory tumbler we get to see the final result! I agree with Scott that it looks like moss agate, but my goodness, I sure wouldn’t have guessed that before it was polished!
