A Little More Info on Mexican Crazy Lace Agate
Mexican Crazy Lace Agate is a striking and colorful variety of banded Chalcedony, a mineral of the Quartz family. It is renowned for its intricate and swirling patterns of vibrant colors, including red, pink, white, gray, yellow, gold, and brown. These mesmerizing patterns resemble a complex lace, giving the stone its name.
Originating exclusively from Chihuahua, Northern Mexico, Crazy Lace Agate is often referred to as “Laughter Stone” or “Happy Lace” because of its whimsical and swirling patterns, which are a result of mineral impurities and can include layers of iron and silica.
